Rain gear Fishing equipment That was all that we needed to have a pleasant camping experience. If K and her sister had their way, I would have needed a caravan of pack mules to carry all of the gear. We loaded the truck and an hour and a half north to Centerville, TX. By the time we arrived, several of the guys from our group had already set up their tents. I unloaded our gear and proceeded to set up camp. As I stood there staring at a box of tent pieces, a couple of guys noticed my ineptitude and offered to help. Within minutes, my tent was up.

Wicked Winch of the West Lift-system troubleshooting Flagstaff’s lift-system is one of the easiest to operate and maintain of any pop-up camper. Here are some tips to keep the camper popping up and down for years to come.

All touring pitches have 10 amp electric hook up. There are several 6 amp hook up points available for tents (please book ahead as they are popular).

Dave Posted 01 April – The trucks factory system uses a 40a fuse for the gauge wire they run back in the charge line to the hitch plug, therefore the wire they use should be adequate for at least the run of that distance. I tapped the wire and used 8 AWG copper stranded for the distance back into the bed of the truck, thus avoiding any percieved increase in resistance for the increased length of wire.

The standard 7 pin socket had a heavy wire pigtail that was spliced onto, the exact gauge of which I cannot recall. The only point of my connections that offers any increased chance of resistance is the plug itself, because the wire gauge is somewhat reduced. But the actual size of the wire at that point offers very little change from that of what was originally installed by lance.

Yes it was harder installing the connector to the gauge of the wire, but the problem was not insurmountable. The end result of all this is I can run my fridge on 12v going down the road and the house battery does not get discharged doing so unless I leave other 12v options on at the same time Like forgetting to turn off a light or the antenna booster, and even then it does not drain it excessively but tends to maintain its status. If I have concern for battery condition, I can always elect to drive with the fridge off for awhile since it isn’t going to heat up very quickly.

Fuse it near the battery. It’ll go to position 4 on the 7pin round Bargman. Also, make sure that the white ground wire on that same Bargman is at least 8ga. If it’s not, replace it. Same rule goes for the ground on the camper’s 7pin.

Doesn’t the campsite offer an ice-block freezing service? A leisure battery is the one to use, as cranking standard batteries don’t take kindly to being run until flat. Should be an easy calculation as to how long the fridge will run on a battery of a given capacity, but a friend of mine can run a coolbox for a weekend on a reasonable-sized battery.

Oh, and I take it the coolbox has a fuse built in? If not an inline fuse in the cable would be a nice thing to have. Milkie Member You’re very likely to blow it if you run it straight of the battery. I think a battery is capable of delivering 10amps.
